THE ARCTIC JUBILEE EXPEDITION 2012 IS ABOUT TO COMMENCE!DON'T JUST FOLLOW US...ENGAGE WITH US
This entire expedition is built around bringing the Arctic into your classroom. Through our online experts, discussion boards, blogs and google earth tracking we would like to invite your class to actively participate in this historic event.Teachers are also supplied with lesson plans and classroom activities to further enhance pupil's knowledge of the Polar Environment in a fun and inspiring way.
Polar Explorer Antony Jinman says, "We all know the importance of travel to see and experience the world first hand. Through this expedition we will bring the Arctic to your students." The Arctic Jubilee Expedition is an Anglo-Canadian expedition and our Inuit ambassador Johnny Issaluk will bring a unique insight to the Inuit culture and history. Other topics we will be discussing will include: food-webs and life-cycles; history of the monarchy; history of the Arctic environment; climate change and sustainability and creative writing.

Here is what a teacher had to say about a previous interactive expedition crossing the Penny Ice Cap on Baffin Island
"The first hand 'expertness' was extremely motivating and we all learnt (and are still learning) a great deal. There was a definite wow factor to our questions being answered by people who live in a polar region as this is so far outside of any of our experiences."
Pauline Ross - Deputy Head at Marlborough School, Falmouth
